All About Me

     Hi everyone!  My name is Jennifer Granzow.   I am originally from Massachusetts.  I have also lived in Virginia.  This is my 17th year teaching.  Kansas is my 4th state that I have taught school.  My teaching career started in New Hampshire teaching kindergarten.  I then moved to Virginia and taught 1st grade, multiage 1-2, and 3rd grade.  Missing family, I moved back to Massachusetts and taught 2nd grade in the school district that I went through school.  When I got married I moved to central Massachusetts, where I taught first grade.  Two years ago my husband Andy and I moved to Andover. I taught 1st grade at Sunflower my first year and 1st grade at Prairie Creek last year.

     My husband and I have one child, a daughter named Emily.  We also have a beagle named Emma.  My hobbies include reading, basket weaving, scrapbooking, refinishing old furniture, and cycling.  I haven't had much time for these lately with being a new mom.  Some day I'll figure out how to juggle the baby and a few hobbies.  As a family we like to travel.  My husband is a woodworker by hobby, so that has become a family hobby (well....Emily will grow up with it as a hobby whether she wants to or not).  So far our travels with baby have included Disney World, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Missouri, and California. 

     I'm excited about this year.  The Granzow class this year is wonderful!!!  This is going to be a great year.
